Rest is part of the work

Builders tend to treat rest as a reward. This short guide treats it as part of the plan.

If you are building something, there is always one more thing to do. That is exactly why rest has to be planned rather than earned.

Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while. (Mark 6:31, KJV)

Put it on the calendar Choose one evening this week with no work and no screens after dinner. Treat it like a meeting you would not cancel.

Rest with people Rest is easier together. A slow dinner, a walk, a game night with the Unwind table. Connection refills what work drains.

Notice what returns After a real rest, write down one idea or one bit of patience that came back. Most people find they work better, not worse.
