A seven-day guide to praying over the work God has given you, from your own heart to your city.

Your business is more than a way to earn a living. It is a place where people are served, families are provided for and character is formed. This guide gives you a focus for each day of the week.

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. (Psalm 90:17, KJV)

Monday: your own heart Pray for integrity, humility and diligence. Ask God to show you any motive that needs correcting.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. (Colossians 3:23, KJV)

Tuesday: your team Pray for each person by name: their families, their health, their growth. Ask how you can serve them better as their leader.

Wednesday: your customers Pray for the people you serve. Ask that your work would genuinely make their lives better, and that you would treat each one fairly.

Thursday: your decisions and plans Bring the biggest decision of the week before God. Ask for wisdom, wise counsel and clear timing.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5, KJV)

Friday: provision and finances Thank him for what came in this week. Pray about cash flow, debts, pricing and generosity. Ask for contentment and faithfulness with what you have.

Saturday: partners, suppliers and competitors Pray for those you work with, and bless your competitors. It guards your heart against envy.

Sunday: rest and your city Rest from the work, and pray for the peace of your city and its leaders.

And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. (Jeremiah 29:7, KJV)
