The one-page business plan

Get your whole business on a single page: who you serve, what you offer, how you make money and what comes next.

A plan you cannot remember will not guide you. A single page forces clarity, and it is easy to share with a partner, a mentor or your table. Update it every quarter.

Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. (Habakkuk 2:2, KJV)

1. Purpose In one sentence: why does this business exist, beyond making money?

2. Customer Who exactly do you serve? Describe one real person. What problem keeps them up at night?

3. Offer What do you sell, and why is it better or different for that customer? List no more than three core offers.

4. How customers find you Your two or three main channels: referrals, social media, partnerships, events, search.

5. Money - Price of each offer. - What it costs you to deliver. - How many sales a month you need to cover your costs and pay yourself.

6. Goals for the next 90 days Three measurable goals. "Grow" is not a goal; "20 new paying customers by 31 March" is.

7. Biggest risks What could go wrong, and what is your plan if it does?

8. Who helps you Mentors, advisers, partners and the people you will ask for counsel.

9. Personal commitments How will you protect your family, your health and your walk with God while you build?

Put your 90-day goals on a vision board in your Command Center with a deadline, and break each one into steps.
